    IRLQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ntoskrnl.exe)

    Hello!

First of it all, I bought a new HP ProBook 4530s, which came with SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11. Since I am not so familiar with Linux I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and after the first restart (while installing the drivers) it kept restarting itself when the HP logo appeared. I learned here on sevenforums.com that a usual format of the HD is not enough if the laptop came with Linux. Anyway I managed to install windows with the so-called "clean all" in command prompt, and everything was fine, until a lot of BSOD appeared (3-4 times a day).

Most of the time the blue screen contains the IRLQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.

I downloaded the memtest-86, it checked my rams and had no errors.

I downloaded the BlueScreenViewer and gave me the following information:

    Dump File : 071712-14242-01.dmp
    Crash Time : 7/17/2012 8:04:21 PM

    Parameter 2 : 00000000`00000002
    Parameter 3 : 00000000`00000001

    Processor : x64
    Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+71f00

    Stack Address 3 :
    Computer Name :
    Full Path : C:\Windows\Minidump\071712-14242-01.dmp
    Processors Count : 4
    Major Version : 15
    Minor Version : 7600
    Dump File Size : 262,144

I also started the Driver Verifier (verifier.exe), though I have no idea how to use it, or what to do with it also what is good for, when I clicked on the "Display existing settings" and hit next, a new blue screen appeared, but with no error codes, and it did not even create a dump file.

If anyone could help me, what to do, how to do, and mainly how to fix it for good, I will really appreciate it and I give that person a bottle of beer!

    ***UPDATE***

2-3 minutes ago I got another BSOD, when the laptop was idle... The error was "memory management". I think I have problems with my rams because I have 2x4Gb DDR3 1333mhz. Though I tested it with the memtest86 and gave me no error...

Anyway as I see no one can help me here... I'm really new here and I have no idea how things work, how to post so others can see my question (since I couldn't find my post anywhere, maybe I was looking in the wrong place). The "admin" told me to give more info about my laptop, so I updated my so-called profile...

Again: if someone can help me, as I serious can be, I will send him a beer, with a greeting card!

Hello and welcome to Seven Forums,

First of all, I would like to apologise for the delay in replying. Here at SF we have very few BSOD analysers and lots of threads that need answering. Sorry :)

If you are overclocking your system, please return all overclocked components to their stock speeds. If the BSOD's are found not to be caused by the overclock, you can re-overclock the components once we have finished the diagnostics

Unfortunately, only one dump has been included which makes debugging more difficult. To stop any more being deleted when/if you have more crashes, don't use CCleaner or any temporary file cleaners until troubleshooting is finished as they can delete dump files.

Devices without Drivers can cause issues, please install the relevant drivers. For error 43 - Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems

    Recommendations

    Anti-Virus
I have noticed that you do not have an anti-virus product installed on your PC. Please install Microsoft Security Essentials and scan your PC. Then install and scan your computer with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. DO NOT START THE FREE TRIAL. This will remove any viruses you may have caught.

    BSOD Ananlysis

    Hardware
The BSOD dumps you gave me do not give a definitive cause for your BSOD's.

As a result I recommend you check your hardware for issues. Please run Memtest86+ to check your RAM. Let it run for 6-8 passes overnight as described in the tutorial. Pay particular attention to parts 2 and 3.

Also check your HDD for errors using Seatools and chkdsk.. Download and create a bootable version of the Seatools for DOS program as described here. For check disk, follow this tutorial: Disk Check

Work through each of these steps and report back after you've completed each one. If you have any questions, feel free to ask
    Stephen

<b>EDIT - Re-reading your original post, I noticed you enabled Driver Verifier. Please disable it by following the below steps.

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click Command Prompt -> Run as administrator -> Type the following command and then Enter:
    verifier /reset
    -> Restart your computer.

No problem with the late reply, I just thought that since this thread was viewed for more than 100 times I thought I had a problem which no one can resolve. Anyway thank you for your reply! :)

My system wasn't overclocked at all (because I have no idea how to do it) and it is only 2 weeks old.

Meanwhile I got a lot of new BSOD's. Such as:

    1. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    2. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    3. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    4. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    5. MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    6. A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.

Each error appeared separately but caused by the same driver: ntoskrnl.exe

Fortunately my laptop still is in warranty so I called them (not the HP company, because I bought it from a vendor company) and they said that I should send back the laptop. So Monday I will send it back, and when I will get it back repaired I will ask them to tell me what was the problem and how did they fix it, so I could post it here the solutions, because though I'm an authorized translator, I really want to be a part of this forum! :)

Thank you very much for your help and for your time, and as soon as I get some answers I will post them here!

    bociaz,

For your future information, here is how to configure your system for minidumps:

    MEMORY DUMPS - REQUIREMENTS

Enable automatic management of the Paging file
    WIN + PAUSE/BREAK key combo |
Advanced system settings (left-hand side) |
Advanced tab, Performance section, Settings |
Advanced tab, Virtual Memory section, Change |
checkmark Automatically manage paging file size for all drives |
    OK | OK | OK

    STARTUP AND RECOVERY SETTINGS
    WIN + PAUSE/BREAK key combo |
Advanced system settings (left-hand side) |
    Advanced
tab, Startup and Recovery section, Settings |
System Failure section | checkmark Write an Event to the system log
    | uncheck
    Automatically restart |

Under Write debugging information, select Small memory dump |
in the Small dump directory: box, enter %SystemRoot%\Minidump| OK

If Overwrite any existing file is checked, then:
Ø Under Write debugging information, select Kernel memory dump
Ø Uncheck Overwrite any existing file
Ø Under Write debugging information, select Small memory dump
    Ø OK button
If you get a crazy message from Win 7 about your paging file being too small, then just ignore the message since we have already made sure that the paging file is set to be managed by Win 7.

ENABLE THE WINDOWS ERROR REPORTING SERVICE
    WIN key | type SERVICES.MSC | ENTER |
Scroll down to Windows Error Reporting Service |
Rt-clk on Windows Error Reporting Service | Properties |
    General
tab | for Startup type, choose Automatic |
In Service status, Start button (unless grayed out) | OK

ASSURE THAT CCLEANER IS NOT DELETING DUMPS
CCLEANER | Cleaner icon | Windows tab | System category |
    Uncheck Memory Dumps
    · WINDOWS ERROR REPORTING SERVICE must NOT be disabled!
    · WIN | Services.msc | Enter
    · Under Name, locate Windows Error Reporting Service
    · If Status is not Started, then
Right-click on Windows Error Reporting Service |choose START
    · If Startup Type is not Automatic, then
Right-click on Windows Error Reporting Service |
choose Properties | General tab |
    set Startup type to Automatic
    · Close Services.msc (I like to use ALT + F4)

After a crash, the minidump file will be in %SystemRoot%\Minidump
    %SystemRoot% is generally C:\Windows

My gut feeling is a faulty stick of RAM. We'll see, won't we! :)

Funny thing... They just called me from the service and told me that regarding the hardware, the laptop was OK. The ntoskrnl.exe is caused by Windows...

    bociaz,
    your logic is false.

Regardless, completely repeat this: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

and attach the results to your next post.

Thanks for the reply karlsnooks! Right now I'm doing a test with memtest-86 v4.0a. It has been running for 7:30 hours and ran for 8 or 9 times and had no errors. But I got an interesting view of the test. I attached 2 pictures... I have no idea what happened... I will leave it until it finishes this test, and after that I will follow the "Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions". Until then take a look at the attached pictures...
