BSOD while playing games/sometimes in idle.

I've been trying to fix this blue screen forever I normally get it while playing games and rarely get it while browsing the web sitting in idle etc etc. I have a new install of Windows 7 Ultimate installed it about 2 days ago.

    Mainboard Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H

CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T

    Ram 16GB

VGA ATI Radeon HD 5700 hooked up through HDMI to my TV

So far from what I am reading it looks like you haven't done any security updates, or windows updates at all.

    Please do your windows updates.

Also uninstall and remove from the computer the Xbox 360 Controller.

    Afterwards please post back results.

    Thanks,

Follow the steps for Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...s-with-DirectX.

To re-install your display card drivers as outlined in the DirectX link, use the following steps.
Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
    Click Start Menu
    Right Click My Computer/Computer
    Click Manage
Click Device Manager from the list on the left
    Expand Display adapters
Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
    Right click the adapter
Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
Install the latest driver for the display cards once Windows starts

    Alternatively:
    Login as an adminstrative user
Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
    Click Start Menu
    Click Control Panel
    Click Hardware and Sound
Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
    Expand Display adapters
Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
    Right click the adapter
Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
Install the latest driver for the display cards once Windows starts

I'm a little confused. The latest drivers are 2012 drivers, yours appear to be from 2011.
