I found this when browsing around their website (from down towards the bottom of the page on this link: VIA Technical Support FAQ - VIA Technologies, Inc. ):
    Integrated Graphics
VIA has released Windows 7 drivers for the following chipsets:
    VIA CN896, P4M900, VN896, VX800/820 series, VX855/VX875
Older chipsets can run Windows 7 using the default drivers built into Windows 7, but some graphical features of Windows 7 may not be supported.
That would suggest to me that there's not a later version available.
In that case, I wouldn't worry about this driver for now.

If the BSOD's continue, then please try this procedure:
    - Start with these free hardware diagnostics: http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html
    - If all of the diagnostics pass, then we look at a "Clean Install" of Windows: http://www.carrona.org/canned.html#clean
    - Then, if the BSOD's still continue, it's time to star troubleshooting by hardware stripdown: http://www.carrona.org/strpdown.html

    Hello again,

I did memtest - no errors.
Hard disk sentinel shows no errors.
I did not go over all the hw tests, but tried again the driver verifier settings. When I set the recommended changes: during boot restart shortly 2-3 times and no bsod (or freeze during "starting windows" screen). When I delete existing settings: normal boot (at the stand of things).
When I did this process earlier, normal boot for a few days/week and after that bsods came, those I already zipped. Is it sure that it is about hardware?
I attach 2 pictures of MSconfig. It would be good to know if some of them are worth to check/uncheck. In case it helps.

Nvidia items are among the startup items because I tried to rollback to an early version of nvidia vga driver but it became even worse. So changed to normal Win7 vga update and I did not remove them from startup (do not know if it is a problem or not).

Please finish all of the diagnostics.

Driver Verifier must run for a while - it won't necessarily cause a BSOD at boot. It depends on when the driver causes that problems as to when it'll BSOD.

I worry about the Creative Audio, the BitComet, and the Secunia - you may want to disable them temporarily.
If the nVidia device is no longer installed on your system - please uninstall the nVidia drivers.

That's the main point: when I made run driver verifier - NO BSOD, just restart or freeze during boot.
When deleted the DV settings - BSOD, but after that OK.
    Should it mean something?

    Ahhh! I understand now!
In theory, if you don't get a BSOD with Driver Verifier - then the drivers that you selected aren't having any of the problems that Driver Verifier tests for.

Did you run Verifier for at least 36 hours (at least one time while testing 3rd party drivers)? If so, then we can assume that this isn't a 3rd party driver issue

That leaves us with hardware issues (which include compatibility issues - but are less likely because of the Verifier testing) or Windows issues.

That brings us back to finishing the hardware diagnostics. If that doesn't find anything, then you'll have to either:
    - perform troubleshooting by hardware stripdown (removing stuff until you find the cause). Link about it here: Hardware Stripdown Troubleshooting or,
    - clean install Windows (link about it here: Canned Speeches )

    Let's see what happened:

    nVidia drivers removal - nothing
    Soundcard removal - NO Bsod!
Soundcard drivers removal (not to have conflict with Realtek) - NO Bsod!

OK, I don' want to speak too soon, but 2 boot/restarts without a bsod successively were a long time ago. I hope I found that. Now it seems to me the SB 5.1 VX, but would be good to know that:
    - this type is not compatible
    - this piece is wrong, maybe faulty
    - (slot is wrong on the mainboard, I don't think so)
    - or maybe SB driver? (otherwise - Creative Wavestudio still on the programs list, I cannot remove like the other driver files of Creative)

It's a pity that the sound was better.
So thank you very much so far, I am waiting now...

I forgot to mention that Driver verifier still deleted, so turning on will be the next one ...

Now turned on the DV settings (drivers selected, not by MS etc.) - no automatic restart or freeze! Seems very good to me
(but the sound is a box-like)
