    Windows will not load from HD error 0xc000428


    it crashed and shut down , when i went to start up again it gave me this
    info:windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.

    I have used the windows 7 start up disc and get to repair but, i get cannot repair automatically.
    show problem signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    02: 6.1.7600.16385
    03: unknown
    04: 12
    05:external
    06: 1
    07: missing Osloader
    I have also used to CMD prompt bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fix boot and bootrec /rebuildBCD to no avail. I have family pictures I'd like to get off and then i can do a reinstall Please any help would be greatly appreciated ty

    What is a Windows 7 Start up disc?

    Do you have a Win 7 DVD?

    there are several ways to approach your problem. Those answers will influence the recommendations.

    I'm wondering if the Windows 7 Home Premium DVD is the Windows 7 Startup disc.
    If that is correct, lettuce romaine forward going. Going forward: have you any backup images on external media? Or do you have copies of earlier folders and files on external media?

    (The issue here was probably a bum DLL messing up the computer thus a BSOD.)

    you can load your HD data on other laptop using by HD reader
