BSOD semi-randomly in Sony Vegas 9.0 and 11.0, error 0x0000007A

Howdy, I've been using Sony Vegas for a couple years now, and for about 9 months on my new computer here without any issues. Recently, when I've been trying to open a specific video project, the whole system becomes stuck like it's running out of memory trying to run it all. It's not a big video project, and I've definitely worked on bigger ones without this problem. The system will spend a few minutes in limbo before eventually Blue Screening with this error.

A few times when I was lucky, I actually managed to open it and do a little work on it before the same issue happens.

I apologize if I'm lacking anything more specific in this initial post, I'll try and provide any additional information if needed.

Anyone? Please? Its much worse now, and Windows won't even start. It stays on the splash screen saying "starting Windows" while the HDD light on the tower maintains a steady glow.

Since nobody wanted to help me, I just ended up reinstalling Windows. Still no clue as to what caused my problem, or how I can avoid it in the future, but I guess that's not important now.

131 thread views and not a single reply? Thanks.
