Random BSODs, various errors all involving NTOSKRNL.EXE

    Hi,

I'm very quickly losing patience with a system given to a friend:

    Philips Freevents MT1900
    ECS 945G-M3 (Branded as a 945P-M3)
    Intel Core2Duo 6300 (1.87Ghz)
    2Gb DDR2 Ram
    250Gb SATA hard drive
Windows Vista Home Premium x64 (OEM, Genuine & fresh install)
    nVidia 7300 GS

    I've tried:
    Fresh reinstall
    3 different sets of ram
    New hard drive
Resetting BIOS to default via BIOS battery
    Updating drivers via slimdrivers & Intel/nVidia auto-detect webtools/.exes

Windows Updates always fail on fresh installs which tells me I haven't fixed the problem. Quite frankly I'm losing my temper. Can any of you save my sanity? I've been tempted to flash the BIOS for a 945G-M3 however I risk bricking the motherboard!

    Welcome
More BSODS than I can count. They show different causes. Usually an indication of a hardware problem. Test your hardware and report back.
    Initial Hardware Diagnostics
On a more personal note, start with memory. There are indications that is the problem.
