BSOD in Windows Media Player 12.0, error 0x00000027

I'm having a problem playing certain music files (mp3) in WM Player 12.0. I get a BSOD the instant the song starts. I have identified the name of one of the songs and it always causes a BSOD if I right-click on it in the playlist and click 'play'.

I have network locations in my library. The file that breaks WM Player is on the network. I am trying to determine if this only happens with files in a certain network location.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have attached a summary of the crashes from BlueScreenView. It is usually related to the driver rdbss.sys. I have also attached the SF Diagnostic Tool output.

Hi there!

Seems like the dump files are missing in the attachment. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and upload the files here.

Hello there!

The dump is pointing to Redirected Drive Buffering SubSystem Driver which is a Operating system component.

There is a Hotfix refering to your problem that may fix it.
"0x00000027" Stop error when you try to access a shared network resource in Windows Server 2008 R2 or in Windows 7

apply it and see if it works.
