BSOD at random times, error 0x0000004e

    Hi,

Ive recently built my own computer, however at random times when im on it, it will blue screen with a 0x0000004e error. I have Windows 7 professional 64 bit and ive also attached all the information including the two dumps from the times it has crashed. It has happened before a few times but i reinstalled the os so the dumps went with it. I will add more dumps each time it does blue screen. Also I downloaded BlueScreenViewer and it came back with a majority of the problems coming from a driver called "ntoskrnl". I have ran memtest for about 8 hours and came back with no errors so i do believe it is a driver problem other than that, I have no clue what the problem is and any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

If the attachment doesnt work, I have uploaded the information online at the following link:

    Hello,

    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\DAEMON Tools Lite	Public:Start Menu\Programs\DAEMON Tools Lite	Public
    dtsoftbus01.sys Fri Jan 13 07:45:46 2012 (4F10358A)
Daemon Tools are known to cause problems, please uninstall.

    Code:
    Probably caused by : memory_corruption
Try running a RAM - Test with Memtest86+ to see if yo get any RAM errors.

    Afterwards please post back results.

Hi Justin, thank you for the reply, however I have already ran memtest86+ for 8 hours and came back with passes. I am now uninstalling Daemon Tools lite. Although I am a bit puzzled as the problem pre-dates me downloading this. I will get back to you though with results from this.

How many passes did you do with memtest? You usually want to do around 7-8 to be positive your RAM and motherboard are functioning properly. (just a thought!)

Hi Deception, I think it ended up being 7 passes, at this point i thought I had seen enough to say that it was not a hardware problem.

It's hard to determine an analysis from 2 of these Files. If you get more, please post results.

x2 on what Deception said. He is right.

Okay well that's good! For the most part that means your RAM and
Motherboard slots are functioning properly. Lets hope Daemon Tools was your issue, since it is uninstalled now we hope to not see another BSOD. Post back in a few days or so even if the machine is functioning properly so we know whether the problem was solved or not!

Ok I will do that, so far its been fine and normal with no crashes to report, however the problem is it happens completely randomly so I never really know if it is actually fixed. I will report back though if this has fixed it or with another crash dump for analysis.

Thanks again for the help so far

hey guys, after a couple of hours of it being on, the computer blue screened again. It turned off and then went into a sort of loop where it would turn off and then blue screen again. It did this several times until it managed to get past the loop and start up. Anyway I have uploaded a new dump
