Hello all,
My system has started BSOD'ing when switching users. Normally I log on as an admin, but I want to create accounts for my kids with much lower rights, obviously. The system has been stable for a few years, but now that I've created the kids accounts, I see BSOD frequently when switching to one of their accounts.
I think I got all the info requested from the SF Diag tool attached.

Apparantly and driver problem. Driver verifier may be able to tell us which one
Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).
In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .
Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.
Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).
If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Thanks for the quick reply Rich. I've enabled the verifier and captured two BSODs. What files should I send back up here? I looked at the dumps with NirSoft BS viewer and both show win32k.sys+f22c6 in the "Caused By" fields. Crash address ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0.
Here is the second round of files. Again the BSOD happens when switching users only. It'll run just fine as long as I don't switch user.

Not much new there. Keep Verifier on. For a test, create a new user account and see if you still have the problem.
OK, created both crashtest admin and crashtest user accounts. Same issues. Tried switching from an admin to user, user to admin, admin to admin, all same results.
This may correct the problem.
If it does not do you have a Seven install DVD, so that we can make a repair?
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
SFC result: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
I have an ISO from Technet, but not a DVD. I'll have to rustle up a blank disk, used my last one for a sys repair disk. Or can I repair from a mounted ISO?
As far as I know you need a disc.
Repair Install
If the repair does not work, you can back up your stuff and reinstall. I can get you a Seven SP1. If you have the product key, which you will need for any reinstall, the SP1 will save a lot of upadates.
