computer crashed- startup repair does nothing

My computer is a Sony Vaio running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Lately, my computers been running a bit slower than normal and last night I was watching anime on a site a friend of mine sent me. Well, the webpages kept freezing and I shut my computer off to restart it. When I tried to load my computer, I get either "Startup Repair (Recommended)" or "Start Windows Normally" (on the Windows Error Recovery Screen).

When I load up Startup Repair, it doesn't do anything, it just scans for a problem, but then restarts to the Windows Error Recovery Screen. And if I "Start Windows Normally", it acts like it's going to load but then eventually does a Startup Repair (which, as I stated before, doesn't really do anything), and the restarts.

I also can't boot into safe mode either.

I don't have a windows disk, and my computer is telling me I don't have a restore point set up to do a system Restore.

Unfortunatley, I'm not very compter savy so I'm really not sure what to do.

    Hello there!

In that case you need to obtain the OEM disk from Sony and run Startup Repair 3 different times Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times if that failed then run a Repair Install. Check this article How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs, and replace product manuals
