Had this issue a few weeks ago, couldn't fix it. I got fed up and reformatted thinking that would solve a driver issue...but the problem persisted. I finally resorted to swapping out my ATI 6870 to an NVidia 8800 and the problem ceased...for awhile. Now it happens once or twice a day, only while gaming or some other intensive process. I do not know what to do.

Ran memtest but nothing was found. I just don't know what else to do.

Thanks!

Please update your specs again - list the model of your motherboard in addition to the manufacturer (Intel).

According to your minidump, you have a process that is crucial to system operation that is crashing. You said this was a problem several weeks ago. What happened immediately prior to this starting? Did you remove/add/change hardware? Did you have a virus? Did you update your motherboard BIOS?

Updated specs.

I haven't changed any hardware, although I will go through it and tighten everything to be sure nothing is loose. And I didn't mess with any bios or other significant software. I was playing league of legends the first time it happened, HOI3 the second. Shortly thereafter it began to crash after 5-10 minutes into any game I attempted, even lower end ones.

I'm going to put the 6870 back in and see if the old problem occurs. If it does I'll post a dump of it.

Do you have drivers for both cards installed? That could cause issues.

I don't believe so. Uninstalled catalyst and all that, which I thought took off the drivers too. Besides I was having this issue prior to switching graphics cards as well. I'll find out tomorrow if the problem persists with the old one.

Have you downloaded all the drivers you need from the manufacturer websites and installed them (especially the chipset drivers)?

Try a slightly older graphics driver.
