Often BSOD first with XP, now with Windows 7 after reinstalation

I recently reinstaled my laptop but before doing so it was making blue screens at least once per day. Already with windows 7 I thought the problem is solved as it wasnt making me any troubles until yesterday. It blocked (anything was responding) and afterwords it started having problems with shutting down - freezing with the shut down screen; and also it stopped recognizing my external hard drive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello Elitu and welcome to Sevenforums.

BSOD Analyse

How long have you been running Windows 7 on this motherboard? I believe that your hardware barely can support running Windows 7. Your BIOS is from 2008 which could be problematic.

Here are some of my suggestions:

  • Search your hardware parts on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center, and ensure that Microsoft has approved the product to be 7 ready.
    • (For an automatic check, you can use the Upgrade Advisor)

Code:
BIOS Version/Date	INSYDE 1.70, 24/11/2008
Best Regards,
Frederik.
