Gem,
You can run that MySystem script again and upload that.
That will reflect the current bios version.

What are you doing with PCTools. Uninstall immediately. Completely unneeded and as you see can cause problems.

How many more goodies have you installed since I looked at you list of installed programs?
I'm not fond of going backwards.

And while I'm at it-- run that full Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions again.
I need those files to be current.

The ones I posted before and now are current, I already uninstalled the program. So it was that? I never saw that BSOD before. I am an ignorant computer user What do you suggest I use for protection I am not a fan of formatting computers because the OS got eaten up.

Explain what you mean by "protection".

Win 7 provides all of the protection you need.

I work at a university and my IT guy scared me to the point that i bought a 20 buck program at office depot . I've had virus's crawl on my thumb drive at work I thought I would put the same program they run there on my comp. If you say I'm covered with out I'll believe take your word for it.

Why does this:

Description: D-Link DWA-130 Wireless N USB Adapter
Name: D-Link DWA-130 Wireless N USB Adapter
Manufacturer:
MAC Address:

Still show up. That device is Not Compatible with Win 7.
Remove that device and then wait for another bsod.
That device must go.
