    Hi guys,

    Welcome
Your description of the problems and your reports clearly indicate a memory problem
Guide to using Memtest86+ - Geeks to Go Forums
Take the memory test. Run for 8 passes. Then use a good slot and test each stick.Since you just had an upgrade the problem is probably due to Ram not seated properly or you mixed and matched when you bought the new ram.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling it might still be the RAM. I'll re-run Memtest and see what I find. All RAM sticks are the same make and model (listed in my original post). It is necessary to test the RAM sticks one at a time? When I originally ran Memtest I ran the sticks two at a time.

Run them all for 8 passes.
Then run one stick at a time for 6 passes each.
The results will be accurate, unless you have dual channel; then it may pass when it should not.

Re-tested both RAM sticks (13, 14 passes respectively) and both came back with no errors.

Could it be something with the SSD? The BSODs started after the SSD install. The SSD firmware is up to date. Maybe some settings in Windows that I need to adjust?

You would have a better feel for the problem than me, you are right there.
Go to the website of you HD manufactuer and test the drive.

go and have a look at the crucial forums. Quite a few complaints there about the Crucial M4 ssd. Put me off buying one. Ive opted for the samsung 830 and am very satisfied with it

Well, I've tried everything that's been proposed and the machine is still going BSOD. I'm going to RMA the drive. My desktop uses a Crucial M4 256GB with zero problems after about a month in use, so at least I know they can work.

I'll come back to this thread after I have the new drive.
