Moving File + Playing Tribes:Ascend (New installation)

I seem to get blue screens when moving files on my PC, I noticed the follow STOP titles before it finished dumping (These may not be accurate):

    SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION,
ATTEMPT TO EXECUTE NON EXECUTABLE FILE/MEMORY (Cant remember which)
    (None).

I did complete a MEM test on the previous installation and it came up clean, but if needed I can run it again.

Not sure if this is related, but when my external hard drive (I suspect) now causes hangs when attempting to enter BIOS and it wont boot windows when plugged into the front USB ports. I plugged it into the back and it seems fine (havent tried to restart). Could this hard drive cause BSOD + hanging at POST screen, if so is it because its failing or malfunction on the motherboard?
