BSOD appearing randomly when the computer is in High-Performance.

Recently my computer (HP Pavilion DV6-3088LA), started to show BSOD's. I have detected the BSODs happen when the processor (i7-720QM) is having processing peaks, for example, sometimes when I open Chrome and it has several (20) tabs opened, the screen freezes, the vents start working, and then the BSOD appears, there are times though, when the computer overheats and shuts down before it can show the BSOD.

The BSOD has appeared with different messages, the most recurring are:

    MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION

    STOP: 0x0000009C (0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF8800336BC70, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

    and

A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor during the allocated time interval.

    STOP: 0x00000101 (0x0000000000000019, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88003363180, 0x0000000000000002)

I have tested the RAM and the Hard Disk, but there are no errors. I thought it could be the processor so I decreased the maximum percentage at which it can work, from 100% to 80%, in the High-Performance plan settings. This did partially solved the problem, because the errors appear less often, but they still appear from time to time.

I have formatted my machine with Windows 7 and Windows 8 (Preview) and the errors still appear. Also, I have installed all the drivers provided by HP and there is no difference.

I hope you can help me with this...
