    Black screen crashing

Hey guys hoping for some help as i'm really stuck and frustrated

Basically while gaming or sometimes even just on the desktop the computer will just black screen causing me to hard restart also get a sound loop if im gaming

I thought it may have been a harddrive issue at first but have brought a SSD last week installed and the problem still persists

I am now hoping its a PSU issue but not to sure as its only a crappy 650w PSU

    Here are few dump errors which are always in bluescreen viewer;

    dxgkrnl.sys+5d000
    dxgmms1.sys+37dc0
    nvlddmkm.sys+d431a4

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 2057

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 116
    BCP1: FFFFFA8008AE5010
    BCP2: FFFFF8800FD751A4
    BCP3: FFFFFFFFC000009A
    BCP4: 0000000000000004
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

    crash address being ntoskrnl.exe+7f1c0

The temp on the CPU is fine (Noctua cooler) same said for the GTX480 (Zalman cooler never goes about 70c)

It always seems to happen most during cinematics in sleeping dogs

I'm really confused and frustrated any info or advice is appreciated!

They all point to this : nvlddmkm
1st try updating the nvidia graphics, here is a link to autodetect. NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products
    Will need java to run.

The problem is still there after reinstalling the driver and taking everything out cleaned etc

About 2-3 minutes into a game (Sleeping dogs) and it will just black screen with looping sound

    Any other ideas?

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Follow the above tutorial, and if a BSOD occurs, please upload the latest dump file.

Afterward run this test : Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
Do the above test only with the latest drivers, and then Run it until the temperatures stop increasing; should be less then 10 minutes. If you don't see any crazy glitches or distortion on the screen, The test most likely passed. Take note if the Temperature gets too high, or you see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_artifact to stop the test.

    Good morning Skylais,

I have changed something and it seems to be working only tested for 1 hour but it was black screening after 10 minutes

I have added a print screen

It was the power option, PCI-E was set to maximum power saving could that have been the issue?

I've got my fingers (and toes) Cross
