Hey Richard or Anthony, I've been thinking through all this stuff and have been questioning whether or not the problem could be the motherboard. My current BIOS version is at 1.40 while the newest one is 2.10. Could all my problems be because of my outdated BIOS version? (ASRock > Z77 Extreme4)

With a problem such as the one that you are having it is always wise to update the MB. You should not attmept it yourself unless you are confident in the procedure. The prime 95 test may indicate that its a CPU problem and that angle should be investigated. If it were me, I would have it tested by a professional before buying a new one.

You're a professional though (:To have Frys look at my computer is 189.99 USD while its 69.99 at Microcenter. If I had the money to spend I would've brought it in long ago. Do you think it is likely that the BIOS is the reason for all the different BSOD? If so, I can read all the precautions of flashing and attempt it.

If not I can just wait and call Intel and they are willing to exchange my CPU, I might as well do that just to see if it fixes the problem.

We do not have a confimation of the CPU, since you BSOD so quickly. I would take all the free alternatives first: BIOS, free CPU exchange, etc.

Recently got a BSOD while installing windows updates (doing the whole "shut down to install updates thing, not installing while the computer is logged in). Any help? Bluescreenview says it's caused by clfs.sys driver but I still don't know how to fix it exactly. Thanks for the help!
