I know this sounds wierd but after powering on and off a few times again, I was able to log on and tried to write down the serial #, my screen went completely yellow. I think verifier might be causing it.

    OK Good
Here is a tutorial that tells you how to reinstall and has an ISO (CD) of Windows Seven.
You can use it to reinstall, and you will not have the crapware that came with the computer.
Normally, I would tell the poster to make an image of the Hard Drive with Macrium Reflect in case things go bad, but you have to wait until you are up and running again.
Once you are up and running, make the image. Then install the new Seven, put in all your software, make all setting and then validate. Make an image at that point and update once a month. If anything goes wrong you always have a current image.

I bring this up now, for one reason, your comment about your crapware and the problems that it caused. If you feel that is part of the problem you may want to install now. But, remember without that image things can and often do go wrong. If you cant install or does not work that confirms Hardware Issues.
Its up to you, since its your computer.

Read the warnings about verifier and decide if you want to keep it on.

Thanks, I will attempt to reinstall 7 and let you know how it went. Not much to lose at this point if things go awry.
