Needing a little help.
I am having problems with a laptop. One of the issues is it keeps shutting itself down. (been in for fixing 7 times - of which main board and other important hardware has been replaced) The Company we purchased it from won't honour their obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act as they say there are no Crash reports.
If the computer shuts down quickly, does it always produce a crash report?
If the company that fixes the computer does a complete re-instal when they get the computer (wipe everything) - would there be any record left or would any crash reports be wiped as well?
Sorry to ask such simple questions but the young techs at the company insist that I am a complete moron because of my age and gender.
I figure if I can get a definitive answer from you guys, I can be better equipped when I next go in.
