    This:

How long have you been running Windows 7 on this motherboard? I believe that your hardware barely can support running Windows 7. Your BIOS is quite old which could be problematic.

Here are some of my suggestions:

    • Search your hardware parts on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center, and ensure that Microsoft has approved the product to be 7 ready.
      • End with the Upgrade Advisor afterwards.

    :)

    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

Excellent, good job. Let's try to update your BIOS on your ASUS Rampage II Extreme. This would prove that your motherboard is Windows 7 ready, obviously it's ROG.

Feel free to use the BIOS Update utility tool. Updating BIOS today is not as dangerous as it were back in the days. As far as I'm concerned, you can actually run this within BIOS. Anyhow and nevertheless it's important that it's getting the update!

Just to confirm that it actually has been updated, can you do me a favour and upload a new NFO?

    • A nfo file
      • To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.
