Repair may bring him to the restoration partition. Will go back to factory specs.

When the repair partition is setup to be accessed that way it is usually a selectable option from the same menu as the system restore.

Some progression!

I did the repair my computer option and tried to boot up into normal mode. Same BSOD but Safe Mode did work.

Can you advise what I should try next to find and correct this error?

Yes, it looked like option one. Does this mean I have an OEM System partition? And if so, should I just follow the normal BSOD instructions as per the previous post?

If you get those options then the last screen gives you the system restore menu, and if you have a way of posting the info from the bosd posting instructions then that helps lots.

Try system restore if you can get there and you can from safe mode. System restore will work, unless its your boot partition that is corrupt.
