I may be able to hasten the fix if I can connect to the internet. This laptop and other wireless work fine, so I'm sure it's not my connection.

Took it to Best Buy, where purchased and still under warranty. Their scans said it's not hardware, but software.

Won't Even Load XP!

Out of frustration, I even tried loading XP, but got the following BSOD:

*** STOP: 0x0000007b (0XF78D663C, 0xC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

Could it be a virus? Won't connect to internet to check. Any advice?

Downloaded, transfered and ran Kaperskey Virus Scan, which found some memory problems. While I was out, my wife called Dell Customer Service who said that it was a software problem - missing driver (corrupted by a virus) and tried to sell us a $169 program (which we declined).
