    Im making him redo the stress in front of me so i can see it, if it does it again, we know where the problem is.

    yup the test made his pc restart here are the dumps. how do we know if its his motherboard or his cpu though?

    Swapped out video cards and did the test. It went fine so now hes going to use his computer at my house for a night to see if blue screens with the new card.

    Saw the dump, I can tell you its his CPU. But let me know if your getting crashes while swapping.

    swapping the graphics cards made the test run without errors.

    Ummm which test?
    Keep the pc with that graphics card for 2 or 3 days and tell us if you get more crashes. 1 hour is too quick to judge.

    The stress test crashes his pc everytime with the other graphics card on the very extreme test. it doesnt do it with the other card.

    Well then he may have to replace his card
    Did you keep a check on the temp during the stress test with this card?

    yeah we have been watching the temps on everything when we test stuff, everything seems to stay in normal ranges.

    Okay good
    Like I said, use this card for 2/3 days and see if it crashes again. If it doesn't..Tell your friend what he has to do.
