Care and Feeding of MGADiag tool

Credits: This is based upon information from NoelDP

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation,

we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool.

Download and save to your desktop:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

After saving, run the downloaded tool.

Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

To copy the report to your response:
Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages),

Enclose your response in a CODE block.
Paste (using either right-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

State the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker

which is located on the case of your machine or
inside the battery compartment.

Do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

COA -- Where and what is it.

other than that there are two bar codes n the activation code. on the bottom right hand corner has the code
X15-53758

so what does the activation and validation have to do with the problem i am having?
is it related somehow?
thanks

It doesn't matter.

You would appear to be using a Key from a major manufacturer's COA sticker with a retail motherboard.

It's debatable whether this is within the terms of the EULA/SLT or not, but since it's activated and appears to be recently validated, it seems that MS is happy enough.

kenshin,
Now that Noel has pointed out the nature of your licensing, I'll be taking a look at your ZIP file.

Incidentally, the hash mark, "tic-tac-toe mark" will insert a code block into a post.

MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Kenshin,
While I'm perusing your zip file:
Please help us to help you by fluffing out those system specs.

Here is how. You will find SPECCY excellent for this task.

Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Ř Manufacturer and Model OR Custom build.
Ř ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

With Speccy, you can select with your mouse/touchpad info from the display
and paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

==============================================

Let me know when the specs are updated.
Thanks,
Karl
