Help~ whea-logger event id 17

Hi guys, i am constantly having this warning almost every second in event viewer... (15700+ warning and counting) it started since 9/12 and i don't know what i did.. I never had any problem until i played need for speed: shift today for the first time and it just hard froze on me. so i checked the event view and found about this warning message. can someone help me please. I googled it and found one guy having same problem who fixed it eventually. I tried exact solution but no go.. his solution was try to force install latest intel chipset driver.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I have an HP 8540w laptop, and encountered the same error - WHEA-Logger error 17.
HP had me install and run this hotfix: Windows6.1-KB947821-v25-x64.msu (mine is 64 bit, but there should be a x32 if you need).
Download, install, reboot - no more WHEA errors.

Thanks HP.
