System freeze then BSOD - No errors reported

Win 7 Home Premium

I was just online (Firefox v.11.0) and everything running perfectly when I clicked on Tools > Downloads > Clear List when the system completely froze. After 60 seconds or so the BSOD displayed for no more than 2 seconds and then the ASUS splash screen appeared and stayed like that for over 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I was forced to shut down manually. After restart I went to the Event Viewer and absolutely NO errors were reported at the time of the freeze up....so I have nothing to offer in terms of a direction for the freeze > BSOD. Just wanting to know if there are any kind of diagnostics I should run or whatever.

Been doing this long enough to know that something serious occurred that would cause the BSOD. What can I do or where can I check on this machine to attempt to get to the bottom of this? I just lost my PC last month and transferred everything to this laptop and can ill afford a major problem.

Sorry for being so vague, but I'm just a little nervous over a freezeup > BSOD.

Thanks for any replies/guidance.

Mark

In Startup and Recovery only have options for Kernel memory dump or Minidump. Both folders under %windir% are empty.

Nevermind. I've followed the instructions, creating a dump file was already checked when I opened Startup and Recovery. Should have been something in the Dump, but apparently not. I read and followed the instructions carefully.

Just delete the thread.
