Righty'o then. Good news and bad news :/ :P ... What i have discovered is that the RAM may have been faulty... There has been no BSOD's since i added in this new RAM. Which is all good. The bad news however is 2 things, 1) the RAM is severely under-volted and running at a slow bandwidth (hence the test 7 & 8 test fails on memtest) I cannot OC the RAM at all otherwise my CMOS classes this as a hazard and tells me to reset the values to default. Not that that is a problem but its not using the full potential of my RAM when it is needed. 2) Instead of a BSOD today i got a black-screen. I was playing music on widows media player and all of a sudden it started to jump and then make the long beeping sounds as it does when it blue screens, however the computer stayed booted up and the LED's on my case did not shut of, neither did the GPU or the HDD, typically i thought this was a GPU error but as i've changed my GPU card TWICE i dont think that that is the case, I'm not sure what causes black screens (no errors appeared, the screen just went black and shut my system down but kept them fired up as if it was still running. Maybe its potentially the GPU slot in my MB failing but i'm not sure? any clues?

Don't be so sure yet, we have to do some tests with drivers by enabling driver verifier to rule out buggy drivers.

    Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

    Then, here's the procedure:
    - Go to Start and type in verifier and press Enter
    - Select Create custom settings (for code developers) and click Next
    - Select Select individual settings from a full list and click Next
    - Select everything EXCEPT FOR Low Resource Simulation and click Next
    - Select Select driver names from a list and click Next
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click Next
    - Select Finish on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Verifier puts extreme stress on the drivers, bad ones will cause BSOD. If we change all those drivers we hope for no more BSODs, If you get no BSODs, then its not a driver and we look to hardware. With verifier on your computer may be a little laggy, but actually..its just doing its work.

    Information
Driver Verifier runs in the background, "testing" drivers for bugs. If it finds one, a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) will result; the corresponding dump file will hopefully show the faulty driver.

    Capt.Jack Sparrow said:
Driver Verifier monitors kernel-mode drivers and graphics drivers to detect illegal function calls or actions that might corrupt the system. It can subject the drivers to a variety of stresses and tests to find improper behavior.

Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

Right from what i have read i've done the steps correctly, on boot up the system lagged alot (as stated it would do) but no BSOD has occured, It is now: 20:28 so ill leave it running for another 40 hours or so, When it blue screens is there a mini dump file present in the Windows folder? or will it store it elsewhere?

Okay so, i encountered a BSOD. The problem is it was a 0x000000c4 error code. this apparently is indicated when verifier is running, it happened when i opened up 'Computer' and before loading any devices it blue screened. I have found a hotfix for this on microsoft on their website, installed it and it seems to be working fine now. do you have any more insights as to what 0x000000c4's cause is? Thanks

Scratch that. The same BSOD happened again, the hotfix only was a temp i guess? from what i could tell from the dump file i opened (before the BSOD) it stated that MagicISO SCHI was a problem? not too sure what the SCHI stands for though

That is the problem, because of this BSOD it's actually preventing me from showing the DMP files, what i'm going to try now is closing verifier and uninstalling MAGIC ISO, if this works then ill upload the DMP files :)
