BSOD - getting BSOD error 0x0000003b a lot while idle or playing music

    That's fine Richard i understand, and Katkool that link is helpful but i've already done that :P you have all the photos that i have taken from each test. what else is there to do to look at the RAM?

    Yes as of yet, no errors have occurred and its running smoothly, it hasn't Blue Screened in a full 2 days but that can sometimes happen so i'm not sure if it has solved the problem or not.

    Okay take as much time as you want for observation
    See if your computer crashes in the next 3-4-5 days

    If it doesn't crash - don't forget your way to this thread to let us know

    Well getting to this thread is no problem at all, i use the link from the emails i get as for the keeping in touch, i'll get in contact on the 28th if no errors have occurred, if they have i'll reupload the new .Dmp's Thanks again btw

    Right, this isn't about a BSOD or failing RAM but more a stupid question as i have cocked up. I don't have a western digital i have a 500GB pratitioned Hitachi.... >.< is their a tool available to scan for issues for that manufacturer please? :)

    That test should work for your computer, too. In addition,most computers have self diagnostic tests. How its done is in your manual or online.

    well im not actually sure what the problem is with my computer then because the HDD isnt showing up on the test at all, I'd love to test the HDD just to see if there are any actual problems with it but dskchk says nothing is wrong. i gave the same product to my mate (who lent me the RAM) and his HDD's showed up perfectly so i'm not sure
