BSOD playing 3D games, BCCode 116

Hey there, I've been having this problem for months and I've had enough of it; whenever I play 3D games (e.g. Portal, Half Life, Mirror's Edge), they only last for about ten minutes (sometimes even less), and always end up giving me BSOD. However when I play some old fashioned 2D games, everything works just fine.

Here are the BSOD specs:

Quote:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:

BCP1: 85FDC008
BCP2: 933E0FF8
BCP3: C000009A
BCP4: 00000004
OS Version: 6_1_7601

Files that help describe the problem:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-94380-0.sysdata.xml
Here's my SF Diagnostic zip: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/31720874/valfader.7z
I'm running Windows 7 HP 32bit, with NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT version 8.17.12.9573 (up-to-date).

Please help! I will be eternally grateful!

...anyone? pretty please?
The BSOD also mentions the file nvlddmkm.sys - what's with this, and can I (should I) tamper with this file somehow to fix the problem?
