One that was clearly hardware/driver related (happened just when I plugged in a USB device) and where the error codes were totally different from those I had seen before. In addition to that the system (a laptop) now repeatedly fails to recognize the AC adapter, so maybe this is a more fundamental hardware problem after all. I can't afford to spend any more time on this at this point, so I'm going to replace the AC adapter and, if that doesn't improve the situation, the whole system.
