    BSOD message: Bad_Pool_Caller

    Greetings:

Over the past couple of weeks I started receiving the captioned on a frequent basis. I have attached the files per the BSOD Posting Instructions page and would appreciate someone taking the time to review the files and see if they can give me any idea as to the issue. Since this issue started, I have installed no new hardware.

If I can provide any additional information please let me know.

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee
    Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Your other dump does not provide a specific reason, its just blaming windows files.
(Which is not a true cause)So uninstall McAfee (Its' known as a cause to bsods)
and see if stability returns. If not, we'll do more troubleshooting.

    Thanks

You can also reinstall your graphics drivers:

Thanks to FredeGail for the instruction.
Different culprits pointed towards your NVIDIA Graphics Driver. Driver Sweeper will ensure that you'd have a clean install at the end of the procedure, and by that no leftover files that'd bork the system.

    NVIDIA

    • Make your way to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and download the latest driver for your card, save it to your desktop for instance
    • Uninstall the Graphic driver you currently have and all its extensions (do not reboot yet)

    • Get to safe mode (without network) and search for Driver Sweeper in your START

    • Select all the NVIDIAcomponents and analyse them

    • Clean them, head into Windows without internet and install the driver you've downloaded previously

Then run a video stress with furmark:
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

    Keep us posted

koolkat77, Drive Sweeper does not appear to be available on the site you provided. I did locate a drive sweeper here: Driver Sweeper - Download. Is this by chance the same app?

koolkat77, I have removed McAfee, installed MS Sec. Essentials used Drive Sweeper and removed old nVidia Drivers / installed new drivers from their site. This issue is random but usually occurs once a day............so I will advise in the next day or so.

Thanks again for your direction and assistance.

    koolkat77,
it appears the BSOD has been eliminated as I have had no occurences in the past week. Unfortunately, now the issue has give way to my machine dropping all USB capabilities at some point during the day. It appears that after some time of inactivity, 30 -60 min, randomly, though real time data is still coming across the screen, all USB functionality is done. No mouse or keyboard, which are the only two usb devices attached. Same occurs with wired or wireless. Also my speakers which are connected via audio jack have only a low grade buzz being emitted. Moving to a new USB port does nothing, issue requires a cold boot.
I confirmed under Device Mgr, under USB controller, Hubs, for power mgmt. the option to turn off to save power is not selected. Same for the XHCI controller and root hub.

    any ideas?

Thanks so much on the BSOD issue. Assistance on this would be really appreciated.

    Hi

Good to hear you're BSoD free.

You may have to open the case of cabinet, and reseat all the ports connections.. if that does not work, you have to install the chipset drivers again (with latest version if available) and have you looked if there's an update on your BIOS version too? Your current one is of year 2011 check for a newer one.

    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date	AMI 7.09, 7/22/2011
    Let me know
