That's a bit strange. Not so far, i'll let you know if I get any more though and maybe that one (hopefully won't be one though!) will give more info.

Run disk check for hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it.
Disk Check

Did you uninstall Norton as suggested earlier?

Yep I used the Norton removal tool as you suggested. Ok I will try running disk check again. Should I do that long or short version?

Please upload your again msinfo32.nfo file. To get this:
  • Click on the Start
  • Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box
  • When it opens, go to File, Save
  • Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember
  • Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info
  • Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder
  • Upload the .zip file here.

Hi, I hadn't actually installed Service Pack 1 on this machine, I thought I had but must have been my Alienware system. I just installed it though and performed all updates etc. Not sure about the Bios. Haven't updated that for a while. Where would I find the correct one for this board? Just had another BSOD:
