BSOD: random and error "The bugcheck code: 0x0000009f"
Hello
My laptop is a Dv7-3165dx running Windows 7 home edition. Service Pack 1 64-bit OS . when i start up my computer, everything is fine it loads up i sign in and the desktop loads up with no problem.
i've had a problem where my laptop would not respond when closing the lid, shutting down, restarting, hibernating.. but not so much when i did hibernate it so i have been doing this for the past year. it would turn to a blank screen after it says shutting down or any of the other ones and it will stay on, the fan will turn into high gear(speed up) and the laptop would get really hot after this. i would have to press the power button to turn it off.
Sometimes while im just doing some easy task like on chrome, the laptop will stop responding, not even the task manager will come on, i would be stuck on a blank screen when i press CTRL ALT DELETE and then a message couple moments later " Failure to display security and shut down options" so i would have to power off, and start it back up fresh.
It was only yesterday that after when it was not responding that i tried to restart it, logged off, was shutting down, it took about like 5 minutes of hanging before i got the blue screen DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I looked into it and on Bluescreenview were athrx.sys+b280b ntoskrnl.exe+e96c2 in red. i updated my drivers and i shut down couple times with no problems then when i went to shut down later on i got another blue screen but this time its only ntoskrnl.exe+e96c2. I dont know how to fix this, if all of the stated problems are connected or if this is seperate. Sorry for the essay.
