Random BSOD when gaming

I have been getting random blue screen of death when I am playing games. The error on the BSOD is page fault in non paged area. Also my games will randomly crash when I am playing with the error thegame.exe has stopped working. I have ran memtest and have found no errors.

Different culprits pointed towards your NVIDIA Graphics Driver. Driver Sweeper will ensure that you'd have a clean install at the end of the procedure, and by that no leftover files that'd bork the system.

NVIDIA

  • Make your way to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and download the latest driver for your card, save it to your desktop for instance
  • Uninstall the Graphic driver you currently have and all its extensions (do not reboot yet)



  • Select all the NVIDIA components and analyse them

  • Clean them, head into Windows without internet and install the driver you've downloaded previously

I have done everything on the list, and all the test came back fine. Also when i ran driver sweeper it found nothing under nvidia in safe mode.

Not another bsod but that is a error that happens to my games along with bsod. That error is when it says the game has stopped working.

  1. The posted system logs are only till 25 july 2012 .

    Please go to event viewer directly and right click on the system logs as well as the application logs and save it as .evtx file as shown below and upload here

  2. please update your Nvidia drivers to the latest from here
  3. Disable or remove Easy Tune 6 as it has known compatibility issues with punkbuster and hipatchservice (Hi-Rez Studios Authenticate and Update Service).... Also remove all the gigabyte software till we finish troubleshooting
  4. Update your bios and other drivers as well from here

After you have done these... then play the games and let me know if it bsod

I am not getting bsod anymore but am still crashing in games with errors. Also when I play World of Warcraft I get nvidia driver has stopped responding and has recovered.


IT won't let me upload the log files.
