BSOD before & after clean install of W7 "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Had intermittent BSOD for past two years while using Vista. Just re-formatted the hdd and clean installed Windows 7 Pro N 64-bit. Still getting the same BSOD that typically occurs if the computer is left on for a few hours.

Dell Studio 1535
4GB Ram
Intel Core 2 Duo

SF Zip file attached.

I appreciate your help resolving my problem.

Welcome

Hopefully there's not much to do here.

STOP 0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Usual causes: Device driver

First look for a update on your BIOS version, current ones are of 2008. (must)
Code:
BIOS Version/Date	Dell Inc. A05, [COLOR="Red"]7/30/2008[/COLOR]

Check for an update for your VGA, you'll probably get it from windows update - optional list / or the manufacturers website.
Driver Reference Table
Code:
Driver	c:\windows\system32\drivers\igdkmd64.sys (8.14.10.1930, 5.89 MB (6,180,832 bytes), [COLOR="red"]9/23/2009 [/COLOR]7:23 PM)

Look for an update on your sound device drivers too..
Code:
Driver	c:\windows\system32\drivers\hdaudio.sys (6.1.7601.17514, 342.00 KB (350,208 bytes), [COLOR="Red"]11/20/2010[/COLOR] 10:24 PM)

Run disk check to make sure your hard drive is good:
:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

Run the system file checker to repair any damaged windows files:
:ar: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Run a full scan with your MSE antivirus & run a additional malware scan with Malware bytes free:
:ar: Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

Let us know the results and further crashes if any :)

Thank you for your help. Just tried to update the BIOS to A06 version but ran into the following error "The BIOS update could not be performed because a valid ROM image file could not be found"

Any ideas why this is?

Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

This file format consists of a BIOS executable file. The Universal (Windows/MS DOS) format can be used to install from Windows XP, Windows 2000, NT, Windows 9X, Windows ME or a MS DOS environment.

Run the BIOS update utility from DOS environment (Non-Windows users)

NOTE: You will need to provide a bootable DOS diskette. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.
  1. Copy the file 1535_A06.EXE to a bootable floppy.
  2. Boot from the floppy to the DOS prompt.
  3. Run the file by typing Y:\1535_A06.EXE (where y is the drive letter where the executable is located).
Have you tried this?
