BSoD random times, no specific trigger I know of.

A co-workers Dell Inspirion 1564 laptop, random BSoD after a few hours of being powered on. Would love to avoid doing a system restore for her if possible.

    Welcome

Your dump is of 09-09-2012, did you get any BSoD after that?

    teefer2.sys

    Caused by Symantec Endpoint

Teefer2.sys BSOD | Symantec Connect Community

Please uninstall the program see if the problem goes.
If not, we'll do more troubleshooting.

According to her it had blue screened earlier in the day while she was lesson planning, the files I attached were from a brand new install of your file, downloaded & installed when she handed me the laptop.

Ended up wiping it all, turns out she had norton, mcaffee, & a few others all installed & running on her system at once, along with some suspicious "free" software. Had a stress test run all night & no crash after the reformat.

Oh well! Congrats on the good job.

I would point those out, but my concern was to get rid of just that one which caused the BSoD.
(Norton & McAfee are a known cause of BSoDs)

I and many members on our forum recommend MSE and MBAM. (Free)

Good and Free system security combination.
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

Good luck and you can mark this thread as solved. :)

Talking with her further a friend from her hometown who "knows alot about computers" installed all of that on there, she also told me that all were were not legal copies, whoever had installed them had downloaded keygen software (ran spybot & she had 600+ malware on her laptop)

Thanks for the .dmp check, I really do appreciate your help with that. I will get her setup with a single anti-virus program to go with her fresh install. If I come across any other BSoD issues I will use this site again.

Just to add my opinion, I would seriously consider doing a clean install on that laptop, god only knows whats left on it!! I'm sure we could assist you with the process!!

    Thanks
