I recently started crashing in say August, but it appears to be increasing in frequency as of late.

If you are sure about the 124 stop message, there's really no need to look at the dumps.
That message is generated only by two things.
Incorrect clock/memory settings - bad overclock
Or damaged hardware.
We have this post that was made to try and help people narrow it down.

Things are getting uglier I'm afraid. Today I have had quite a number of BSOD's. Including:

0x00000050 - Page fault in nonpaged.... first time I've ever seen this one

0x0000001E

0x000000A - SQRL_not_less_or_equal

0x00000124 - uncorrectable hardware error

okay it's definitely damaged hardware, or you have the machine overclocked.
There's really only two things that ever cause that 124 error.
We have a page setup for that already.

I am admittedly a bit inexperienced. What exactly do you mean when you say overclocking? Is that something I would be doing intentionally and therefore know about, or is that something I can check on my system somehow?

I will look at that post again and try to work through it.

Hi buyerat Welcome to Seven Forums.
To help us help you would you please add your systems specs? Here's how: System Info - See Your System Specs
Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built.

Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to the specs page in your profile from within the System Info app.
After doing this your specs will be available in each of your posts. Click on mine in the lower left to see how it should look.
Full instructions in the tutorial.

Overclocking is forcing the CPU, RAM (memory), or Graphics card operate at higher than factory specs. since you asked, I will assume you're not doing any.

Some hardware tests to run.
Graphics card:
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Hard drive(s), pick one for your HDD brand or use Seatools.
7 Free Hard Drive Testing Software Tools

For RAM, this will require memtest on a bootable CD or USB stick.
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool this should run for a minimum of 7 passes.
