System Service Exception 0x0000003b (BSOD)

So, I built a new computer for my roommate this weekend. All of the parts are brand new. Here is whats in the box:

700w PSU
ATI Radeon HD 5550 1gb GPU
AMD Tricore CPU
8gb 1333 RAM
1.5gb seagate Sata HDD
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

Pretty standard stuff. Nothing too extreme.

First off, we had issues with the hard drive, so I exchange it, and reinstalled the OS. Then we started getting Memory Management and bad pool header blue screens. Through much research and painful testing processes, we have managed to fix those.

Now, we are getting a System Service Exception error at random. I have run sfc /scannow, chkdsk and windows memory diagnostic, but none of them at any time have come up with any errors at all.

I have been trying to fix this for three days now. I have read a lot about out of date drivers, possible memory issues, but nothing I do seems to be able to tell me what I need to fix one way or the other.

Turns out it was indeed a stick of ram that was the culprit. I made one last ditch effort and took them out of the machine to inspect them, turns out on one of the sticks there was a very tiny tiny, almost microscopic nick in the contact teeth. So I took a couple sticks out of my pc, loaded them into hers, and voila, no problems thus far. Machine has been running and gaming for a couple hours now.

Good to hear you figured it out.
Observe the computer to be sure that it was the stick of RAM!

Oh, yes been watching closely, having her play some very high performance games, multiple tasks. To see how it handles, seems to be doing allright. I did another scan and chkdisk just to repair anything that may have been damaged during the trial and error period. I think by taking those steps I may have eliminated any residual effects. But, I will be back if something else should arise.
