NEW asus system COMPLETE random bsod

    ok i also have a new question... would 32 bit compared to 64 bit be an issue....? i already checked before purchase that the board and processor was 64 bit compliant.

    nevermind just blue screened lol. but the manual crash works with dv on ..... so im gonna try to get it to crash with dv on

    ok i just got it to blue screeen with dv on with 32 bit installed im hoping this is the same thing if it is i can probably reproduce the same and get to the bottom of this through dumps. if this is so let me know so i can get to it right away

    ok here is a new set of dumps the first 6 are on various uses the last 7 happened while i was sleeping dv is on and i was running in non safe mode ......so hopefully this will help

    1. Update your SSD firmware,
    2. Reseat the sata and power.
    3. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    4. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
      Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

    i dont have a ssd so follow the rest or is this for ssd drives only

    ok i ran chkdsk /f/r everything completed rather quickly. next i ran seatools for dos

    seatools for dos v2.23
    device 0 is ata device wdcwd80 bla bla
    max native adress 0
    device is 48 bit adressed - number of LBAs 156312575 (80.032 gb)
    this drive supports security features
    SMART is supported and ENABLED
    SMART Has NOT been tripped
    DST is supported
    Logging feature set is supported
    started long test 10/13/2012 @ 13:39:57
    short DST PASSED 10/13/2012 @ 14:10:37
    long test PASSED 10/13/2012 @ 14:10:37

    i assume the drive is good?
