    BSOD kernel_data_inpage_error after freeze up/randomly

    Hello,

I've been having a BSOD issue for a while now and have no idea what is going on.

This will happen randomly when my laptop(Dell Inspiron 1440) is just sitting there, ore while I'm working on it. Before it crashes, the screen will freeze up, except for the mouse, then it goes to the BSOD with the heading.

    kernel_data_inpage_error

and it, core dumps to physical memory?

I have no idea why this is happening, and considering I'm an IT Major, am a little embarrassed haha.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Attached is my SF.zip dump folder.

    Thanks a lot

    Welcome aboard.

    First of all, Uninstall McAfee.

Use Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Next, update intel HD graphics driver.
    Code:
    lmvm igdkmd64
    start end module name

        Loaded symbol image file: igdkmd64.sys

    3. Select the “Startup” tab.

Thank you for the quick response.

I did all those things, however upon installing MS Security, it said that my firewall remained off due to an unknown error. When I try to manually turn it on I get "Error code 0x80070424".

Additionally, after updating my Graphics Drivers(I assume you mean my graphics card, ie Mobile Series 4 Intel Chipset) it still says my driver version is 8.15.10.2555 instead of version 15.17.18.64.2555. Just to make sure I downloaded the right thing, there is the link http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...&DwnldID=20601

There are some nice info on this issue in the TechNet blogs. Follow it, it will work on the firewall issue.

And, If the upload takes place, and system is not crashing anymore, the driver date will not be a problem. Let us know the situation, ok?

I hope crashes will not return there, at least in this form.
