BSoD when launching xcom unknown enemy

Forum discussion on steam for updated details as I find them -
Steam Community :: XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Short summary - never had any issue with this pc before. Not oc'd, not over heating, all drivers up to date, bios running most up to date non-beta.
Event log shows kernal power error, event ID 41
BSoD reads: A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
However despite setting windows to not restart automatically, it restarts as soon as its done a dump, and I don't have time to copy down the details.

    Diagnostic tool zip attached
