Random BSOD, Locale ID 1033

Hi,

I am new to the forums, but I have read quite a few of the threads and seen genuine solutions to Windows 7 problems, and I am hoping that someone may be able to help me.

Essentially, I am experiencing random BSODs, occuring on average about 3 to 4 times a day and when I am conducting any type of task: Outlook 2010, Microsoft Word, IE, Sins of Solar Empire etc.

Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM),
Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS

Norton is a known cause to BSoDs. Please uninstall and use MSE (at least to test)

→ Norton Removal Tool
→ Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Run the System File Checker that scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible
→ SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it
→ Disk Check

Let us know if the lappy is stable or not. We'll do more troubleshooting

Hi Koolkat,

The information is much appreciated. I have uninstalled Norton 360 (which is a shame as I just renewed the subscription. Lol) and have installed MSE. I am now in the process of running the System File Checker and then the Disk Check. I will touch base again with updates later in the week and let you know how the system has been performing after your suggestions. Thanks again.

Well, the computer had another BSOD. After running the System File Checker, I ran the Disk Check on my non-Windows hard drive overnight. When I came to check it this morning, the blue screen was awaiting me. I am not sure if the BSOD occured during the Disk Check. Regardless, here is the full logs in zip file. This is the error code that came up on Windows reboot:

Do you have any sort of 3rd party remote control programs installed?

I do not have any 3rd party remote control programs as far as I am aware - what would be the best way to find out? Also, I ran the Disk Checker on the non-Windows hard drive again, and this time there was no BSOD and it came back thumbs up. I will be running the Disk Checker on the Windows hard drive this evening once I have finished work.

Umm...That dump does not give accurate information.

I see you have marvell, update to its latest drivers if you haven't already.
