DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD in Windows 7

Hello,

For the past few months I've been frequently encountering blue screens whenever I leave my computer alone for a few minutes. I finally decided to start troubleshooting it today.

I managed to get to the point where I downloaded a kernel debugger and attempted to run it to analyze the minidumps, but I'm having issues interpreting the results - so I figure I would be better off asking someone with more experience. :D

I had to remove some of the minidumps from the SF folder because it was too large (several months worth of files, and some of them were several gigs large). If you need the older ones, let me know.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64.

Let me know if there's anything else I can provide that would help.

Thanks!

You need to uninstall Avast. Positively.

Uninstall Avast and install Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows.

Uninstall Daemon Tools too.

Let us know the results.

So, it's been a day so far - and your advice seems to be working for me. Can't be positive yet, but typically by now there would have been a blue screen, so I'm feeling confident.

Thank you for your help!
