BSOD on any Unreal Engine Game, error 0x00000116

Hello everyone :)
I'm in need of some help, everytime I play any game that uses the Unreal Engine (UT3, Batman AA, Borderlands, etc), my system gives the BSOD after 2-10 minutes, with the error 0x00000116, and something related to nvlddmkm.sys. After browsing a bit on this forum I discovered this thread.

After browsing for some solutions I made this, but it only causes the game to freeze, and not showing me the BSOD, so I suppose the error persists.

What can I do to solve this? I'm tired of being crushed by that sound and the BSOD :(
Also, my PC is never hot when this happens, I got a cooler that can keep it almost ice cold.

It's a couple months old. I don't think the card is defective, since there is a lot of people with this Unreal Engine-only problem.
I can't swap graphic cards between computers, because since my laptop is still on warranty, only the seller has the authorization to open it.

Are your games set to max settings?
Try lowering them or set back to defaults and see if the BSoDs occur.
Look for patches/updates on the game.

No, I never play at max settings. It even happens on the lowest setting, including 800x600 resolution or something similar.

Since all my games are on steam, they are always updated.
I'm actually considering finding my old XP CD and make a dual boot, since I read the error is on Vista and 7. You think it would solve the problem? I have no problem in changing the OS whenever I want to play a Uunreal Engine game.

No, I couldn't even try because there are no drivers for my GPU on XP. I had to edit some advanced PC settings and I didn't want to take that risk.

Try these steps to install only the graphics driver without a control panel.

1.Download the preferred driver and save it to the desktop.
2.Double click the installer and you will see a screen where it will be extracted to, change that to your desktop.
3.Open Device Manager through Control Panel.
4.Expand Display adapters and right click the name for yours and choose Update Driver\Browse my Computer. Select the driver folder you just saved on the desktop. Click Next.
5. Your system should say "Windows has successfully updated your driver software".

If you get a window saying you already have the most current driver, go back to step 4 and choose Uninstall Driver software instead. Then restart from step 3.

Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built.

Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to the specs page in your profile from within the System Info app.
After doing this your specs will be available in each of your posts. Click on mine in the lower left to see how it should look.:)

Thank you for your help. And sorry for the delay, I spent all day travelling and installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 (through my laptop's recovery system). I have everything updated, and this time, I couldn't even get past the GFWL login when trying to play Batman AA.
