BSOD 0x000000E1 - Alienware M17 R3 When downloading Torrents
Hi,
I am hoping someone can help me here. I have been going through the forums here and they seem to get success so here is my problem.
I have recently been getting the BSOD with WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IRQL1. This has started all of a sudden over the last week. To date I have tried the following;
Restore to earliest point (about 3 weeks)
Uninstalled all recent software a piece at a time
Check memory test (this returned no issues however I had to manually re-boot)
Checked disk integrity
I have come to a stand still and have followed the instructions provided in these forums for the diagnostic tool which is attached.
As stated, this has been only a recent issue over the last week or so. I have McAfee, and noticed in other responses this could be an issue but have unloaded it with the same result (I have it back on now).
I have an Alienware M17 R3 running Windows 7 Premium 64 bit. It has the following config
I7-2760QM
BIOS version 10/2/12
SMBIOS 2.7
8.00gb RAM
Netforce NVIDIA GTX 560M Driver Version 8.17.12.6903
The issue with the BSOD only occurs, so far, when I have a torrent client running and then access any browser, though it may not just be the browser that sets it off. I had been using Vuze but have removed it and loaded Qtorrent. That has not made a difference as it still happens. The BSOD does not happen straight away after the torrent client is loaded but a little while after.
I am hoping someone may be able to help as it is driving me crazy and keeping me away from my TV shows (lol) Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark
