BSOD when trying to open Pro Tools MP 9

    ,

Since yesterday (Friday), whenever I try to open Pro Tools MP 9 my laptop crashes (it says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL). It was working on Wednesday and the only changes between then and Friday were Windows updates.

I've attached the minidump files and this is the stuff that comes up to describe the crash when it restarts:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 2057

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: d1
    BCP1: 0000000011FEFF68
    BCP2: 0000000000000002
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: FFFFF880063B71E0
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\101212-27830-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Keziah\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-47611-0.sysdata.xml

Please help, this is a real pain in the arse and I have no idea what to do.

    Thanks

Search for updates in M-AUDIO - MobilePre - Record Music with Your Computer.

    Search for possible BIOS updates.
    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date Acer V1.04, 23/09/2010
    Free up the startup.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept the restart.

    Let us know the results.

Thank you so much; it works now.

(For the record, I updated the Rapid Storage Driver, the Sound Tap Driver and MAudio thing and freed up the start up - when it came to the Graphics Driver and BIOS update, I was unsure exactly what to do)

Thanks again for your help :)
