I'm still getting freezes. No BSOD any more, it just completely locks up until I hit the power button. Here are the updated files.

Courtroomwolf, I am sharing my experience with you. Earlier I used to use an Asus motherboard with AMD processor etc. There I used to experience such hangs and freezes many a times. One trick always worked there .... cleaning and re-seating the RAM modules, SATA and power cables.

From when I changed the hardware to intel motherboard and intel processor, I have never seen a issue, it is more than a year already that I changed those.

If you cannot change hardware (I cannot suggest you to do so), try the re-seating thing. I wish that trick will work for you too. Clean all the accumulated dust inside the computer, too!

I already did that earlier, and it didn't change anything. The freezing has changed behavior a bit. I've noticed the hard drive makes a little noise when everything hangs, and there's about a 50/50 chance of it either coming out of it or locking up completely. Playing music still makes the system more stable, but it's no longer completely effective. I got one BSOD (the same message as all of them before), but while watching a youtube video and not running a game at all.

So the situation is comparatively good now?

Let us hopefully wait a bit more. OK?

I just had another BSOD, and it's now getting a lot worse. It did it again shortly after the computer restarted, and it's slowing down and freezing a lot more often. I wonder if it's hard drive related, because it's making a noise before everything stops. I'll repost the dump files, because I've had a lot of crashes since the previous one.

Well, it seems that the nForce is not updated, and crashed again.

I'm on my old laptop now, because I can't even get the computer to boot. I'm getting the message

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

The DVD drive won't read anything either, so I can't even use the recovery disk.

Is it happened after you tried the nvstor update for this time?

Try one more thing ... boot into Advanced Boot Options and choose "last known good configuration" and hit enter. See if it boots or not.

I haven't done anything with it since posting the last set of files. I had a major crash, and was never able to get it up again. I just tried to use F8 to get it into advanced boot options with no luck.

This is a standalone program that can be put on a CD/DVD or USB memory stick and ran without Windows.
Download and run Seatools for DOS on your HDD.
SeaTools for DOS Guide
Short Drive Self Test and Long Drive Self Test.

If this won't run then it's a hardware issue.

You can put the Win7 ISO on a memory stick and boot from it to run repairs.

BSOD (multiple codes) or screen freeze at idle/gaming/anything
Various BSODs: 7e, 1a, a, 0, 50 (this one with Driver Verifier on), and some others I've forgotten (old dumps wiped but pointed to ntoskrnl.exe). So I've been dealing with this problem for a few months now. I first suspected a RAM problem, but the problem persisted even when replacing it with...

Freeze after idle and BSOD after standby
Hi everyone I have two systems both behaving strangely. Each has its own original Win7 x64 disc, so I can rule out a defective disc. They both BSOD after standby, and freeze for 5-10 secs after idle. This seems to be a fairly common problem, with loads of threads, but I'm yet to find a solution...
