    BSOD on my laptop

My computer has been experiencing heavy BSOD issues recently. I feel like in the leadup to these issues, there have been inexplicable memory problems but I've had a hard time quantifying them exactly-- just slowdowns and hangups and the like, that have just become recurring BSODs.

I don't have the exact BSOD error or number written down, sorry. If they aren't in the file, I'll make sure to write them down and add them to this thread next time it happens. Sorry this is such a vague post; I'll get the exact BSOD details as soon as I can. Let me know if there's any other information you need that the file doesn't cover.

    OK,

It crashed twice since then in rapid succession since then. The error returned was WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IRQL at x000000e1.

The crash seems to have something to do with Mozilla Firefox, which seems to have a lot of memory leaks. (But it's not just as simple as "stop using Firefox", of course-- I want to find out the source of the crashes so I can prevent them from happening.)

    Some system specs:

The laptop is a Lenovo G570 with an Intel i3-2350M @2.3 GHz. I upgraded the RAM to 8 GB (I used two new DIMMs rather than mix and match.) Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition.

I've attached the most recent Diagnostic report.

    Hi El Kabong,

Let me list some problematic software for you first:
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public
McAfee alone is a known cause to BSoDs. I note that you have Microsoft Security Essentials installed and having two antiviruses installed would conflict anyway. Uninstall McAfee using the McAfee Removal Tool. And in case you don't have MSE, download and install it. Make a full scan also :)

You also have some junk stuff installed from Lenovo. I'd suggest you to uninstall them as they would cause problems in future. If you have "Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer" program or drivers I'd suggest you to get rid of it. Use the free version of Revo uninstaller, use "Advanced mode" while uninstalling.
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo	Nath-Laptop\Nath:Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo	Nath-Laptop\Nath
    Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\Energy Management	Nath-Laptop\Nath:Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\Energy Management	Nath-Laptop\Nath
    Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\OneKey Recovery	Nath-Laptop\Nath:Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\OneKey Recovery	Nath-Laptop\Nath
    Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\Power2Go	Nath-Laptop\Nath:Start Menu\Programs\Lenovo\Power2Go	Nath-Laptop\Nath

Free up your start up, keep nothing except the antivirus:

Run the System File Checker that scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    Analysis:
    Code:
    STOP 0x000000E1: WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IRQL
    Usual causes: Device driver
    BugCheck E1, {fffff800035c6560, 2, fffffa800c9f3b10, fffffa800c9f3b10}
    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!IopProcessWorkItem+0 )
Let us know the results, good luck :)
