I would like to help if I can. First I need to know exactly what notebook you are using? Second have you changed any hardware? Your cpu specs and motherboard specs don't add up so far.

Intel Processor Specifications

Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) 32 GB
Memory Types DDR3-1066/1333/1600
# of Memory Channels 2
Max Memory Bandwidth 25.6
--------------------
http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming...specifications

Chipset Intel® HM65 Express Chipset
Memory DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM,4 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 16 G SDRAM (Quad Core),2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 G SDRAM (Dual Core),

Quad Core CPU model can support 4xSO-DIMM, up to 16GB DDR3 1333 MHz DRAM
Dual Core CPU model can support 2xSO-DIMM, up to 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz DRAM
ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS G73SW
----------------------------
From what I can tell you are running DDR3/1600 dual channel ram that doesn't match your motherboard but does match your cpu. This is not scary because your ram is probably running at 1333 as per motherboard. Specs on laptop and notebooks are very hard to find and vary quiet a bit. If you or anybody else haven't changed hardware or the location of ram modules things should work okay. Hardware wise in my opinion because it worked before in this configuration.
I really don't know why your ram doesn't match your laptop and it's motherboard specs of 1333.

thanks for your time out, I'm sure it's ok i've had it for some time now and no serious problems apart from now with regards to my BSOD, i think i'm getting somewhere contacting the seller for additional help and ASUS who have been helpful also.

The seller has given me additional instructions with removing the RAM to see if that works.

Rgds
